Here's what makes us different: zero accounts, zero tracking, zero cloud storage. Your travel plans live on your device, not on our servers. You're in complete control.

🔒 Bottom line: We can't access your data because we never store it. Your itineraries, preferences, and travel dreams? They're yours alone.

What Information We Work With

To craft your perfect itinerary, we need some basics. But here's the key: everything stays on your phone.

What You Tell Us:

  • Your Itineraries: Every travel plan you create, complete with places to visit, descriptions, and daily schedules

📱 Important: This data never leaves your phone. No servers. No cloud. No databases with your name on them. Just your device, your data.

🤖 OpenAI (The AI Brain)

  • What they do: Turn your travel dreams into detailed itineraries with descriptions and insider knowledge
  • What they see: Your destination choices and travel preferences (no personal info, no contact details)
  • Their promise: Read OpenAI's privacy commitments at openai.com/privacy

🗺️ OpenStreetMap (The Map Maker)

  • What they do: Create beautiful maps showing your destinations
  • What they see: Just coordinates (latitude and longitude). No names, no tracking.

📍 Your Device's Maps App

  • What happens: When you tap for directions, we hand off to Apple Maps, Google Maps, or whatever you use
  • Who's responsible: That app follows its own privacy rules—check their policies to learn more

How Your Data Stays Safe

Think of your phone as a vault that only you have the key to. Here's how it works:

  • Your saved trips? Locked safely in your phone's secure storage
  • Your preferences? Same deal—protected on your device
  • Our servers? They don't even know you exist

☁️ Why We Don't Use the Cloud:

  • No cloud sync means no hackers can break into a database that doesn't exist
  • The trade-off: If you delete the app or clear its data, your itineraries go with it—so back up your device if you want to keep them

How Long We Keep Your Data

Short answer: As long as YOU want. Since everything's on your device, you're in the driver's seat:

  • 🗑️Delete anytime: Tap the trash icon on any itinerary to remove it instantly
  • ⏰Keep forever: Your data stays until you decide otherwise—no auto-deletion, no expiration dates
  • 🧹Clean slate: Uninstall Travely, and everything goes with it. Fresh start, zero footprint.

Your Rights (Spoiler: You Have Them All)

With Travely, you don't need to request access to your data or fill out deletion forms. You already own it all:

  • 👁️See Everything: Open the app—your itineraries and preferences are right there. No hidden data, no secrets.
  • 🗑️Delete Anything: One tap removes an itinerary. Uninstall removes everything. No questions asked.
  • 📦Take It With You: Your data stays in your device's backup. Switch phones? Your trips come too (via your device backup).

The best data rights policy? Not collecting your data in the first place.

Protecting Young Travelers

Travely isn't designed for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from kids. If we discover that a child under 13 has used our app, we'll delete any associated information immediately.

Parents: Since our app stores everything locally, you can monitor exactly what's saved on your child's device at any time.

When This Policy Changes

We'll update this privacy policy if our practices change. When we do, we'll update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page.

Pro tip: Check back occasionally to stay informed. We promise to keep it readable (unlike most privacy policies you've ignored).
